  Hi there.

I would like to let you know that my Uncle owned a robin egg blue Rochdale Olympic, back around 1971.He bought it in
Toronto ,Ontario,Canada. Then moved in with us in Kitchener.
I was about 9 years old.He used to take me out for a donut
and hot-chocolate at Tim-Hortons.Back then there was not much traffic in town so he would put me on his lap and let me steer. It is still one of my fondest memories of child-hood,sadly my Uncle past away a couple of years-ago.I grew to love cars. While my profession for the last 17 years has been with Audi, I still have a soft spot and enjoy the small British sports cars. I found this site by googling the rochdale olympic. It is sure nice to see a owners club and that the memories live on as I was very close with my
Uncle Eric. Thanks!

Hi all; I have never owned a Rochdale but did restore a Rochdale GT a few years ago with Les Brown. During that time I became very fond of the cars and really enjoyed the challenges of restoration and the pleasure in seeing a road worthy car at the end of it from just a pile of cardboard boxes.

Finally, is anyone aware of any forthcoming car shows that the owners club will be present at?

Cheers, Matt Butel.

I had a Rochdale GT as my first car in the late 60s. I recently did a web search and found the ad in Hot Car April 69 for when I sold it for £65!
It was a great car but the poor cable brakes made it an interesting drive with the performance that it had.

Looking for information prior to the possible purchase of a Mk6 shell.

Only previous contact with the marque was when beaten to the aquisition of a Rochdale (Model unknown due to poor memory) in East Cornwal about 30 years ago!

Hi, In 1959, I owned a rochdale GT based on a Ford 10 chassis, it was my pride and joy. I have a transparancy of the care if you want to borrow it to copy, I would want it back though.

i would own another Rochdale if I could find one now I am in my dotage. I have a very nice Triumph 13/60 convertable in excellent condition. Regards. Ken.
