heres a rarity . . . and a treat, at least I think so
for all 5 of you that actually bother looking on this site that is
I really don't know why I bother!
not sure I can be arsed to share the rest of it . . . nearly half an hours worth . . .although I wish I could tweak it and get a better clarity.

Nicely done Joe! I can't master this Youtube stuff. The Olympic seemed to have a fair turn of speed over the other cars there., but I suppose it would with that engine! How is the restoration, of the car, coming along ? You had done the axle casing and you recently got a subframe......? _________________ " Stay lucky " |

progress is damned slow, I've nearly finished building another Cortina GT race car, then I will have space in the workshop to bring it in. set it up and start sticking bits in it for a dry build
I did a dry build on the front suspension which is all done, seems ok. I just need to spec some spring/damper units and think of an idea for some form of adjustability at some point, probably fabricate some form of bolted assembly top arms with a rose joint.
rear I'm not happy with, its just rubbish, so I have another axle casing to look at possibly 4 linking instead.
gearbox is built ( 2000E, ally tail, mag bellhousing)
engine is as good as built/sorted, 1600 precrossflow . .
I have wheels etc too |

Thanks for posting, as you say it's a pity about the quality but that's how it is.
The original film should be much better quality, but I guess you only have access to a VHS copy.
Not making any progress with my Olympic. I am almost at the giving up and selling it stage now.

Paul . .that will pass . . . . stick with it.
I only have the VHS, videod off a wall and a projection, so potentially triple out of focus, still its more history than most have what ever the car.
the Brands HAtch footage is even worse! |

oh, I've slowed the footage down, although I suspect it may still be a little fast . .but the car did have 130 BHP to play with which is more than a vast majority of ROchdales now or then |
