I acquired the car in December 2015.
The Riley 1.5 body/chassis unit was bought from RMP on 8/9/62.
The completed car was first registered as BKL 240C on 19/1/65.
The Riley 1.5 engine and gearbox were later replaced with a Morris Minor 1098 cc engine and gearbox and the registration was changed to NTX 199.
The car was then dry stored for 20 years from 1995 to 2015.
I am currently recommissioning the car myself.
As a novice, any advice or information is always welcome.

Thanks,
Alan

Hi Alan,

Thanks for putting up these photos, the Rochdale Olympic History Archive had very few photos of this car.
For long term members of the ROC, NTX 199 belonged to Roy Howells-Jones from 1970 until he passed away in 1995.
The Olympic then remained in his garage for 20 years until 2015.

Regards, Tony.

OBITUARY 1995 : Roy Howells-Jones.
A former motoring correspondent of The Western Mail ("The National Newspaper of Wales "), Roy Howells-Jones, has died suddenly. Mr Howells-Jones, whose father was also a journalist with the newspaper, was educated at Cardiff High School

He returned to The Western Mail after the war, but then left to work for the Daily Express as its Cardiff reporter. In 1950 he became editor of the Maesteg Advertiser. He returned to The Western Mail as a sub-editor in 1953, and later became features editor.
In 1964, he was appointed personal assistant to the editor. He was motoring writer of The Western Mail for 12 years before he retired in 1976. He lived in Rhiwbina, Cardiff, South Wales.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for taking the initiative and posting Roy's Obituary.
It's very good to see it online for posterity.
I chose not to post details of any of the former owners, as I don't think it's 'my place' to do so.
I do however think it is highly appropriate for longstanding ROC Members.
Regards,
Alan
